As the world grapples with the COVID-19 outbreak, are you locked up in your homes and missing the gym? You haven’t probably met with your personal fitness coach in Singapore either thus, how you would stay fit at these strange times is all up to you.
One of the most effective workouts you can try at home is a mix of body-weight exercises and high-intensity interval training. One that falls in such a category is CrossFit training. While it’s best when done in CrossFit gyms in Singapore, there’s no reason why you can’t try them at home.
No Equipment CrossFit Exercises to Try at Home
Pull-Ups
No pull-up bar? Don’t worry! You can use anything that can support your weight and hold its place. Maybe your window rails? Contract your lats to pull your chest upwards and downwards as you would in pull-up bars and do this repeatedly.
Handstand Pushups
Full handstand pushups are great for developing shoulder strength. But, if you’re just starting, you can modify this by placing your feet on a chair instead to take away some of the weight that you would have to push up.
One-Legged Squats
Also called pistol squats, one-legged squats strengthen your core, stabilise your muscles and your entire legs from glutes down to ankles. When doing this, make sure that you keep a proper form with your butt going up and down.
These are some of the advanced strength movements usually included in CrossFit workouts. Once you get the hang of it, you can perform a more intense workout which may include the following routines:
• Sit-Ups
• Double-Unders
• Full Squats
• Lunges
• Burpees
• Meter Runs; other variations
Most CrossFit workouts will incorporate a weight element and all these are readily available in a CrossFit gym in Singapore. But, don’t worry tho, just because you don’t have such equipment at home doesn’t mean that your at-home CrossFit training will not be effective.
While staying at home, you can always reach out to your personal trainer in Singapore and recommend you with a routine that will work best for you.
