Hitting two birds in one stone is what I would call my project with Weiken. This is all thanks to their dual services of interior design and home renovation in Singapore! One might say that finding a company that can offer you various services is not all that rare as there are many versatile companies out there. But, personally, I think that it is rare to find one that offers renovation and an overall makeover! So, with this personal project, my goal was to extend my personality to my cave. This means that I want to go for the transitional interior design style since it aims to combine traditional and modern elements. And, like me, I relate to the essence of this style since I feel like I am an old soul living in the modern age!
Here are the things that had happened on my collaboration project with Weiken.
Planning
I appreciated their accommodating attitude because the first step that I took in their office, all their staff had assisted me to meet the people I would work with. It was a good sign for me because it shows that they value every customer that enters their office, client or not. So, when I met the head of my home interior design and renovation project. We started planning right there, and it was a productive consultation! It revealed that they are knowledgeable about their field. So, after two more sessions, we were able to come up with a final blueprint.
Site visit
Previously, I was living in a minimalist interior design style but you know, as they say, people change. So, I am determined to make this project happen so I could show everyone that I have grown out of my old shell, which could be a literal meaning! When the project head went to my house he said that there are some parts of the house that may be hard to follow according to the plan that we had. He promised that he will make the changes and consult me afterwards.
Budgeting

More than that, it was versatile! I could match any new furniture that I like about it. I was truly impressed!
After the project
After almost three months of going back and forth to my home and my parent’s house, it was finally done. I remember the first time I stepped into my newly designed space. It was exhilarating because everything was so warm and inviting. There was not a trace of a minimalist design because every new furniture occupied space!
